The website serves as a contact point and platform for networking offers from German academic institutions with each other and with the needs of refugee students and academics. The content of the site will be updated on an ongoing basis. We are proceeding step by step.
In addition, by subscribing to the newsletter, email-independent communication and coordination of networking and offers will be made possible.
Beyond this networking, the platform has a longer-term goal. Unfortunately, it is to be expected that students and colleagues will be confronted with considerable problems in the future, whether in Ukraine or abroad, in continuing their studies and activities or adapting to the circumstances.
In the sense of an Open University, the network can then provide offers. These can be offers and courses at our universities, but also digitally supported offers that can also be used from Ukraine, regardless of location. We would like to take a first step in this direction, which will also help students and colleagues in the long term.

In view of the crisis situation in Ukraine, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is giving universities and research institutions in Germany the opportunity to submit well-founded applications for Ukrainian researchers at acute risk even during the current selection round of the Philipp Schwartz Initiative. Nominations for acutely endangered Ukrainian researchers can be submitted later using the simplified procedure until March 18, 2022. Nominations for other groups of persons are not covered by this, but must still be submitted by March 4, 2022.
